Ms. Arianna Hall is working on her Integrated Learning Experience (ILE) at the Center for Firefighter Injury Research and Safety Trends (FIRST). She is working with the FIRST Center to expand its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives by examining the experience of sexual and gender minority (SGM) fire and rescue service members and their populations.
Ms. Hall recently completed her Applied Practical Experience (APE) with Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP). She worked with PPSP in their clinical research department in Center City, Philadelphia. During that time, Ms. Hall gained clinical research experience, including the handling of human specimens and clinical research procedures.
She previously worked at The Pennsylvania State University as a research assistant in the Health & Human Development Department under Dr. Samantha Tornello in her Family, Sexual Orientation, Gender, & Development Lab. Here, Ms. Hall worked on several studies related to SGM individuals and their experience with parenthood. She gained experience with research recruitment, data cleaning, and qualitative analysis.
Ms. Hall received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with minors in Sociology and Sexual & Gender Studies from The Pennsylvania State University in 2019. She will earn her Master of Public Health in Community Health & Prevention from the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health in June 2023.
